The BusiPro calculator Date Mode allows you to quickly and easily perform date calculations. For example, if you need to determine the date of the of the day 43 days from today, you can use the Calculators Date Mode.
To access the Date buttons, click on the large Date button next to the Off button. Doing this will change the calculation buttons at the top of the calculator. Now displaying are the following buttons:
The Date (Dt.) button is at the bottom of the calculator, to the right of the zero button. This button allows you to manually enter a date into the Display field as a straight numeric. For example, click the Dt. Button and type 28062012 an the calculator will automatically add the date slashes in the appropriate places. This will also work when you type 280612.
In order for a date calculation to function properly, the date must be in a date format. To get a date format use the Dt. Button, as described above, or the Tdy button (see below).
At the top of the Calculator's key pad, the left most button is the Day (Dy) button. Click this button to add one day to the date in the Display field. For example with 12/04/2012 in the display field, clicking the Dy button will add one day to the date; leaving you with 13/04/2012. Clicking the + 5 Dy = buttons will add five days to the date, leaving you with 18/04/2012. clicking the - 6 Dy = buttons returns you to the original date.
To the right to the Dy button is the Week (Wk) button. Click this button to add one week to the date in the Display field. Using the + or - buttons as demonstrated above, allows you to add or subtract weeks from a given date.
To the right to the Wk button is the Month (Mt) button. Click this button to add one week to the date in the Display field. Using the Add or Subtract buttons as demonstrated above, allows you to add or subtract months from a given date.
To the right to the Mt button is the Year (Yr) button. Click this button to add one week to the date in the Display field. Using the Add or Subtract buttons as demonstrated above, allows you to add or subtract years from a given date.
To the right of the Yr button is the Today (Tdy) button. Clicking this button places today's date in the calculator's display field. This button can be used as the starting point for date calculations.
The Tdy button is also useful when calculating the number of days between today and a future or past date. For example, with the starting date of 17/09/2011, clicking - Tdy = will give the number of days since that date.
