Service Categories Publications

Service categories are used to group publications together. For example in category 1, a main publication may have several smaller related publications underneath it, entering the main publication code in the category 1 of the other publications would link them together. Or, for example you could group together publications that are distributed overseas in category 2.

You can assign categories to Publications to group them together when they are being set up, see Publication Set Up.

Adding New Categories

Service Category 1

  • Go to Orders & Items > General > Service Category 1 in the main menu bar.
  • Enter a code for the category of up to 8 characters.
  • Click on the New Button in the Navigation Toolbar.
  • Enter a description of category.
  • In the User list, enter or search for the User codes of the employees associated with this category.
  • Click on the green tick button to save.

Service Category 2 & 3

  • Go to Orders & Items > General > Service Category 2 (or 3) in the main menu bar.
  • Enter a code for the category of up to 8 characters.
  • Click on the New Button in the Navigation Toolbar.
  • Enter a description of category.
  • Click on the green tick button to save.
